About the Bunnahabhain distillery

The lightest and most subtle of the Islay malts but still a classic with a character that is quietly distinctive.  Bunnahabhain was built in 1883 on a site chosen because of its accessibility by boat to the mainland and a ready supply of fresh peaty water.  Bunnahabhain is Gaelic for "mouth of the river".
